I've been hanging around the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto for more than ten years now, first as a student in Engineering Science (Sept. to Dec. 1989), then Chemical Engineering (Jan. to August 1990). I did my second year in Metallurgy and Materials Science (MMS) (Sept. 1990 to April 1991).
WorkIn October 1991 I was hired by Malcolm McGrath to help out in the Engineering Alumni Office. In April 1992, I joined the PEY Office, where I worked until September 1996.
Back to SchoolAfter four and a half years of helping engineering and computer science students find employment through internship work terms, I decided that maybe I might want to try one of those jobs. Thus my return to school in September 1996 after more than five years off. I returned to MMS, then did an internship with BHP Minerals in Reno, Nevada after my second year. Now I'm about a month away from finishing fourth year studies in Materials Engineering.
A few old pictures:I moved around a lot when I was growing up; I've lived in various suburbs of both Montreal and Toronto. I first moved to downtown Toronto when I started school in '89. I lived around the College St. West area for several years, then moved out to High Park.
From June '98 to May '99 I lived in Reno, Nevada while working for BHP Minerals. It was damn good to get away from UofT for a while, let me tell you. Pictures from Reno are on the way. When I came back from Nevada I lived near Danforth and Greenwood. For fourth year I moved back to the College St. area (this time on Euclid Ave.) with a few buddies from school.
